I said it about plans, I said it about job situations, I said it about kids. Brittani and I had but one plan, and that was to live and work in Santa Cruz for our first year of marriage. We had received counsel from many people suggesting this was the best plan for newlyweds. There is one small problem, well, problem isn't the best word, but one small diversion. God had a child in our plans...however, in a way He still is giving us a full year of marriage before our little one joins us. That reality literally just hit me as I am typing this and I again am smiling in awe and thanks of how yet again God has proven to have a plan. Nay sayers would say that's just a coincidence, guess what? You are wrong. No need to discuss. We will disagree. Lets just be friends and agree to disagree, save the hate, blah, blah, blah. Hmm, right, so Brittani and I are planners. We like to have everything lined up. We both tend to get annoyed at a lack of direction. Finding out we were going to have a baby was a very interesting experience. We both weren't planning on it, we both weren't excited about it, and we were both very afraid. It was interesting, though, to sit in utter fear, in deep love, bewildered, and still feel a sense of gratitude for a direction. Direction had been in our prayers every night, in fact, three things seemed to come up in our prayers every time. We prayed to grow closer together, we prayed for an improved trust in God, and we prayed for direction. I couldn't ask for a more specific answer for the three...ready or not, we must thank God for answered prayer. So, here we are, starting a blog, with, again, no direction. But that means it could be really interesting. I mean, why do people read blogs anyway? I plan to be raw, and I expect this blog to be literally unpredictable, with the exception of one thing. Thanks to God and an optimistic outlook, no matter the situation. Because God does have a plan, that is probably different and definitely better than mine/ours.B.http://www.blogger.com/profile/14681087417145523785noreply@blogger.com1
